As parents, we all want to give our children the very best chance of becoming the most successful adults they can be. Most of us do whatever we can to expose our kids to that which improves their skills and enhances their education.

Over the past decade, parents have been encouraged to begin their children's formal education in infancy. Experts are beginning to wonder if attempting to formally educate children at this age isn’t just an attempt to push our adult capabilities upon babies that simply cannot understand or get much out of such efforts. Experts want parents to start asking themselves, “Does infant education and skills training help?”

Make Baby Laugh! is producing a five-part news series that addresses the infant education/skills training issue head-on. The series posits that play is critically important to a young child’s development, perhaps even more so than formal skills training or education.

We have assembled a team of professionals/organizations passionate about play and how it positively impacts children. The "Let's Play!" series explains the importance of play and how play helps develop the attachments and bonds that serve as the foundation that will allow a baby to develop a positive sense of self.

The following briefly summaries each segment of the “Just Play!” series.

Neuroscience
Focuses on early brain development and what all the advances in neuroscience means.

Early Education & Educational Toys

Attachment

Make Baby Laugh! may also produce an additional five part series that profile games and activities that parents can use to help them build the bond that can enhance a child’s self-image.
