Together!, the initial release in The Make
Baby Laugh! VHS/DVD series, produced in Evanston, has been
named Parenting Magazine’s 2004 Video of the Year and one
of the Ten Best Socially Responsible Products of the Year by Dr.
Toy. Dr. Toy also named it one of the 100 Best Children’s
Products of the Year. Launched in late 2003, Giggle
Together!,” received other awards and accolades making
it one of the most honored children and family videos of the past
year.
Produced by Dean and Bridgette Rutter who created The Make Baby Laugh!
series to celebrate families who bond together through laughter,
Giggle Together! stars Chicagoland families
showing the value of sharing a good laugh with baby. According to
Rutter, Giggle Together! received the

Set to the tune of an engaging musical score that is enjoyed by
the whole family, the 30-minute Giggle Together!
video shows techniques and activities that tickle a child’s
funny bone over and over again. Each activity was extensively tested
with parents and children and fully vetted by clinical child psychologist,
Dr. Kori Levos Skidmore.
Giggle Together! shows parents demonstrating
techniques that inspire young children’s laughter –
perhaps it’s the absurdity of Daddy pretending he’s
afraid of bubbles, or maybe the incongruity of the “Messy
Tea Party,” where it’s perfectly fine to spoon the “tea”
onto your Mommy! Babies and toddlers will love the active play of
the swinging games and hide-and-seek. And what could be funnier
than watching Dad let his son explode bubble gum all over his face?
Adding to the jollity is the purple animated TickleMon, (a twist
on “Tickle Monster”) who introduces activities and adds
to the good humor.
DVD extras include the music soundtrack that allows viewers to
play full-versions of 19 songs, a “Greater Insights”
section whereby Dr. Skidmore and parents provide more thoughts on
making baby laugh, and “Meet TickleMon,” a profile of
Make Baby Laugh!’s delightful
animated series host.
Future titles in the Make Baby Laugh! series are “Laugh
Together!” and “Chuckle Together!,
which will be released the beginning of 2004 with two more titles
following toward the end of that year.
A free Parents Insights Guide insert is included with each VHS
